I am the last Iranian deer. One by one, my brothers and sisters are gone, and now I have no family left. The forest that was once my home is now filled only with the sounds of silence and death. In this bitter sunset, the red sun spreads across the sky like blood. With each passing moment, as its light fades, it feels as if life is slowly fading from my body too. I watched with my own eyes as my loved ones fell, one by one—silent and painful deaths, unfolding in the heart of this merciless forest. Now, I am the only one left, the last trace of a generation that will no longer exist. I am the last, the last Iranian deer still walking on this land. With every step I take, I feel the unbearable weight of endless sorrow in my heart. No more can I hear the sound of my companions’ footsteps, no more can I see the glimmer in their eyes. It is just me, and this bloody sunset marking the end of us. I am the last. In this forest that was once full of life, now there is nothing left but the wind and silence.
